I already told you before about Royal T and his hability to make propper instrumental grime tunes perfectly suited for the dance floor. I haven’t got the chance to share his latest release earlier though so here it goes. He joined the best label there is to keep up his pursuit as Butterz is, in opinion, the leading brand when it comes to make foward thinking instrumental grime. Orangeade is an A+ release and everyone who loves electronic music should get a copy.
Whatever your views on Roll Deep are, it can’t be denied that Manga’s flow is sick. A recent addition to the crew in comparison to it’s other members, his freestyles have been goin’ off. Here he is with the Mike Lowery freestyle, props to Grez on grimeforum.com for the upload.
Skeng (Danny Scrilla Bootleg) - The Bug (ft. Killa P & Flowdan)
Big up to Danny Scrilla on dubstepforum.com for this track, which you can find on this thread for a free 320 download.
Skeng has been remixed so many times already, and just rinsed in general, that I really didn’t think anything new would be interesting. I was wrong, this track is sick, the way the vocal is chopped is epic.
Wicked man freestyle from P-Money, one of the best grime mc’s of 2010. Definitely agree with Elijah on the Butterz blog, “less is more” in this mans case. He didn’t release anything himself last year, but featured on Marco Del Horno’s “Ho! Riddim” on Black Butter Records, easy one of the top tracks of last year, amongst other things.
You can listen to or buy the “Ho! Riddim” EP here. It’s been out for about 3-4 months now, still deserves the props.
Big tings a’ comin’ from this badman in 2011 I’d say…
